Treasurer’s Report given:

Brian Betty: Need dues from department.

Fire Marshal’s Report:

Dewey: if trash is on for call or illegal fire call our FM office, if not call c186 or c187.

Forest Service:

Travis: 8 Fire calls this year. Spring fire season is need. Rutherford County is now in D12 response area.
Working on getting a dozer to cover both counties.

800-Committee: No Report


New Business:
Kevin Gordon: Retirement Fund question on pro rating firefighters and a deadline of January 31st for each year. Motion by Kevin Gordon, 2nd by Perry Davis to approve such changes. Motion passed.
Kevin will talk to David Deer about the new change and report back at a later date.

David Dodd talked about inside/outside gas leaks, how many department to send.
Questions about ISO and what needed 1 or 2 departments.
Todd McMurry will check with NCFM office and report back later.

David Dodd told that the County is getting ready for mobile dispatch in law enforcement cars and EMS.
The FD’s will be able to use this system cost at this time may be about 3 or 4 k per unit.
FD’s would be able to load pre plains in the system is one of the many uses of it

Frank Burns talked about North Carolina Chiefs Association trying to get each Firefighter in NC to donate 1 dollar for Haiti money would go to the Red Cross.

Western North Carolina Association of Firefighters will be hosted by Shelby FD at the city park  April 21
