Chief Perry Davis welcomed every one to their department.

Meal Was Steak, Bake potatoes, salad and nana’ pudding

Fire Marshal’s Report:

Volunteer Day June 7th at the fair grounds Goforth hall. Start getting numbers ready

Memorial Service May 25^th Shelby station 2. Report any members passing in the past year to Dewey.

Libby’s Last day will be June 30th

Training Officers and college

Countywide fire school coming up next month. May 5^th thru 8th

Air System @ Shelby Station 2 the Board approved to sale it. If any County department is interested in it contact Kevin Gordon. Notes 3-phase power and 4-stage compressor.

Fire Fighter Accountability System

The Board had a few questions to send back to the committee 

800-system report:

 The Cross Patch system will be taken down. At this time the fire service will use the VHF system as primary system. The main reason as the towers go up the 800 system will be taken out of service.

Ronny King with NCDOT thanked all the fire Departments for the help clearing roads after storms.

Steve Hamrick Invited everyone to Cleveland FD May 3^rd for there 50^th celebration starting at 12noon, Rides for kids, hotdogs ice cream, and at 6pm Ocean Blvd. Band till 9pm.

Also thanked NCDOC for the work done at the station.

Mike O’Bryan with NCDOC told everyone if the needs any work done at his or her stations to call and set up a time. Labors free only cost to the department is the supplies. There are also looking at starting a 3^rd crew to do work.
